Prehistoric Farm Yara: Where to Find Him and How to Get the Pacific Shovel
Who is Yara in Prehistoric Farm? Find him in Yara's Shellsmithy in Panthalassa, complete his Sea Egg and Nessie Fragment quests, and buy the Pacific Shovel.
Yara is the shopkeeper NPC who sells the Pacific Shovel in Roblox Prehistoric Farm. He isn't a dinosaur, an egg, or a location — he's a character who stands in a small shop called Yara's Shellsmithy on the right side of the Panthalassa spawn. To get him to sell you the shovel, complete his two quests — 3 unhatched Sea Eggs and 1 Nessie Fragment — and then buy the Pacific Shovel from him for 350,000 Coins.
Here is the whole unlock at a glance:
| Requirement | What it takes |
|---|---|
| Level 30+ | Reach it before you set off for Yara |
| Titanium Shovel | Shovel Shop on Home Island: 20x Desert Topaz, 20x Jungle Emerald, and 200,000 Coins |
| 3 unhatched Sea Eggs | Panthalassa shards traded to Dr. Ivy at Home Island — any kind, but don't hatch them |
| 1 Nessie Fragment | Pick one up in Panthalassa or get one from codes |
| 350,000 Coins | Paid to Yara after both quests are done |
Who is Yara?
Yara is an NPC — not a dinosaur, an egg, or an island. He runs a small shop called Yara's Shellsmithy in Panthalassa, and talking to him starts the questline that gates the Pacific Shovel. If that shovel is your goal, Yara is the reason to make the trip.
How to find Yara in Panthalassa
Two things need to be in place before you set off. First, reach Level 30 or higher. Second, buy the Titanium Shovel from the Shovel Shop on Home Island — it costs 20x Desert Topaz, 20x Jungle Emerald, and 200,000 Coins. Desert Topaz drops from rocks on Triassic Island, and Jungle Emerald drops from rocks on Jurassic Island. You'll want the Titanium Shovel for this trip anyway: it's the tool that digs Panthalassa Rocks for Sea Egg shards later, so it does double duty.
Once you're ready, the route is:
- Go behind Devonian Island and talk to Kai the Tidekeeper.
- Complete all of Kai's quests to earn access to the Whirlpool.
- Jump into the Whirlpool to reach Panthalassa.
- When you spawn in Panthalassa, head to the right side: Yara stands in a small shop called Yara's Shellsmithy. Talk to him to start his questline.
Yara's two quests
Yara's questline is two tasks, done one after the other.
Quest 1: 3 unhatched Sea Eggs
Any kind of Sea Egg counts, but each one has to come from the Panthalassa shard route: dig Panthalassa Rocks with your Titanium Shovel to collect shards, then take the shards to Dr. Ivy at Home Island to get the eggs.
The key detail: do not hatch them. Yara wants the eggs themselves, so keep all three out of the incubator and hand them over unhatched.
Quest 2: 1 Nessie Fragment
There are two ways to get one:
- Pick it up in Panthalassa. It spawns every 15 minutes and stays on the map for 5 minutes, so grab it while it's there.
- Redeem Prehistoric Farm codes. Codes are an alternative source if you don't catch the spawn.
Buying the Pacific Shovel
With both tasks done, talk to Yara again and you can buy the Pacific Shovel from him for 350,000 Coins. That price comes on top of the quest items, so it's worth saving coins along the way. Counting the Titanium Shovel's 200,000 Coins, the full road to the Pacific Shovel adds up to 550,000 Coins plus the 20 Desert Topaz and 20 Jungle Emerald for the first shovel.
